Evaluation and Treatment of TMJ Dysfunction

Instructor: Timothy Coleman, PT

This 3 hour course will review the anatomy and mechanics of the TMJ. Assessment techniques will be instructed followed by patient management techniques including:

  • modalites for relief of TMJ pain and spasm

  • soft tissue and joint mobilization techniques for restricted TMJ motion

  • treatment stratgies for internal derangements of the TMJ

  • home program and self management strategies for myofacial pain dysfunction, and head and neck pain
