WalkSteady Fall and Balance Program
METT Therapists provide comprehensive rehab services for our clients who are at risk for falls. Our therapists are trained to treat vestibular disorders and balance dysfunction for a wide variety of diagnoses. We utilize current research and provide our clients with clinical outcomes proven to improve balance, reduce dizziness, and provide a higher quality of life for our customers.

Industrial Rehabilitation Program
METT provides a comprehensive industrial rehab program specifically designed to get our clients back to work in the shortest amount of time possible. Our highly trained therapists have all received advanced training in various techniques to provide our clients with the skills need to return to work.

Aquatics
Having access to both a therapeutic pool and a lap pool allows METT Therapy Services, located within the St James Health and Wellness Institute, to offer a full spectrum of aquatic physical therapy for a variety of conditions. Commonly treated conditions include osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, obesity-related deconditioning/pain, post-surgical orthopedic cases, and certain neuromuscular conditions. Treatment is facilitated by the therapist being in the pool with the patient providing appropriate tactile/proprioceptive cues and applying manual therapy techniques when needed.

Sports Rehabilitation
METT therapists are well trained in treating all sports injuries and as well as various orthopedic problems. We have extensive training in the biomechanics necessary for recreational and competitive athletics. We are able to correct form for overhead athletes and perform mechanical evaluations for correcting poor running patterns. Therapeutic training teaches our athletes to return to their sport more aware and improve the efficiency of their body. We are well versed in treating the complexities of the shoulder, knee, and foot. We understand the necessity to return quickly yet safely to your activity.
METT Therapy's diverse staff of physical therapists, athletic trainers and sport specialists will be able to pefrom a comprehensive evaluation and aggressive rehabilitation program for your specific sport or individual position. Also, offseason conditioning programs can be developed to meet your specific needs. Our main goal is to restore your previous level of athletic ability and prevent this from re-occurring in the future. Here's a few of our programs:

Orthopedic
All METT facilities provide comprehensive services to clients with orthopedic conditions. From sprains and strains to low back pain to traumatic events, our therapists can provide patients with the skill and understanding of orthopedic conditions.
Total Joint Replacement
METT provides services to patients with total joint replacements at all facilities. METT is also pleased to be involved with the Total Joint Program at St James Hospital Chicago Heights. This program is designed to provide the patient with specialized services to transition the patient from pre-surgery to home to work in the most efficient and effective manner.
Lymphedema Therapy
METT offers a lymphedema program for outpatients at St. James Outpatient Therapy Services - Frankfort. This program is directed by certified lymphedema specialists. Treatment regimen includes congestive manual decompression therapy, amongst other techniques and bandaging.

Wound Care
At METT we pride ourselves on knowledge, good outcomes and patient education for persons with wounds and lymphatic conditions. We recognize that not only does the person's wound or disfigurement affect them physically, it also affects them socially and emotionally. We strive to meet our patient's goals.
A wound care certified specialist is amongst our friendly staff at the Chicago Heights campus. Our outpatient services are available to any person with any wound. We use a variety of techniques to promote the most appropriate treatment regimen spanning from wound VACs, pulsatile lavage, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, hydrotherapy, ultraviolet, sharp debridement, to dressing changes.

Fitness / Wellness
METT is proud to combine our therapy skills with fitness and wellness activities. Clients can continue to exercise at these facilities with a monthly charge. Personal training services are also available.
